In addition to his experience as a trial attorney, Andy has vast experience as an appellate attorney in civil cases, having been lead appellate counsel on more than 70 reported appellate decisions in the State of Alabama and elsewhere. From 1991 to 1998 Andy served on the Alabama Pattern Jury Instruction, a position which required appointment by the Alabama Supreme Court.
Andy is married to the former Patsy Jeanne Little of Mobile, Alabama, and they have four children: Sarah Elizabeth Souther Citrin, (16); Katherine Ruhyer Citrin (14); Andrew T. Citrin, Jr. (11); and Patsy Jeanne Little Citrin (8). The Citrins attend the Church of the Apostles in Daphne, Alabama. Andy has served as a teacher for the Crown Ministries financial course. Andy obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1986, graduating 7th in his class, cum laude, and receiving the distinguished Curia Honoris award from the faculty of the law school. At Cumberland, Andy served as the Articles Editor for the American Journals of Trial Advocacy and received numerous "book awards" for the highest grade on the final exams of several core subjects. Before Cumberland, Andy attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he served as President of the Sigma Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
